Dr. Helmut Matthey
Dr. Matthey is an experienced lawyer and consultant with a solid background in the administration and management of large institutional assets and real estate portfolios.
Until the end of 2021, he was Spokesman of the Board of the Evangelische Ruhegehaltskasse (ERK) in Darmstadt, Germany’s largest church pension fund for civil servants. ERK looks after 11,000 pension recipients from eleven Protestant regional churches and manages assets of around 3.7 billion euros, which are invested in diversified real estate investments. These investments are often managed in special funds together with other institutional investors, with Dr. Matthey playing a leading role in various investment committees.
Before joining ERK, Dr. Matthey took on management responsibility in the real estate sector at an early stage: he worked for 18 years at the Fay Group in Mannheim as General Counsel and Chief Representative, where he was responsible for a real estate portfolio with a high triple-digit million volume for over 50 companies.
Dr. Matthey contributes his extensive expertise and many years of experience as a lawyer and consultant, where he supports companies and institutions in demanding asset management and strategic real estate investment issues.
